The Glovers House has easy access to many major trunk routes so you can plan your stay around the chance to visit many local attractions.

We are 5 minutes from the A303, 18 miles from the M5 at Taunton and mainline stations are at Yeovil or Castle Cary.

Martock village has a number of beautiful historic Hamstone buildings including the second largest Parish Church in Somerset and the National Trust Treasurer’s House. In addition a walk through the village is a photographer’s dream.

For those who love the countryside, we are only a short walk from historical Ham Hill, the largest medieval hill fort in Europe. Ham Hill is where the mellow Hamstone has been quarried for 100’s of years.

Alongside The Glovers House there is the wonderful Parrett Trail for ramblers and don’t forget the Somerset Levels which are one of the top three Wetland habitats in the world.

Within 5 miles you can visit Montacute House, Barrington House, Tintinhull House and East Lambrook Manor Gardens.

For a wonderful family day out you could do no worse than visit the spectacular RNAS museum at Yeovilton or the Haynes Motor Museum.

If shopping is your thing, visit Clarke’s Village in nearby Street then take a short trip to nearby Glastonbury, home of the Abbey, the Tor and of course many bearded individuals who couldn’t find their way home from the Pilton Festival.

Just 40 minutes drive will bring you to Lyme Regis and the fabulous Jurassic coastline. Lyme Regis has been recently voted the top beach resort in the South of England for children. Who couldn’t resist fish and chips on the promenade? West Bay the location for the TV drama, Broadchurch, is only 50 minutes by car.
